Double C Quarter Horses are located at Longwarry, Victoria on 50 acres of rich, fertile Gippsland country. We are developing the property into a safe and happy place for horses, both ours and yours. Visiting mares are housed in safe paddocks and they become a part of our "family" while they are with us.
We have been producing quality Quarter Horses for over 20 years.JET STRAW 2(imp) was our founding sire and many of our successful horses today carry his blood. We believe in the strength and soundness of the "old" bloodlines and try to preserve this where possible. Correct conformation and balance are a prioity and we will not sacrifice this in the name of fashion. At the same time we like a horse to be pleasing to the eye. We are always looking for correct form to function because we want a horse to have a long and useful life. The stallions we use are chosen for their superior attributes and ability to pass these genes on. The stallions we stand at stud have been chosen because they deserve to be entire! The broodmare band is now comprised entirely of mares we have bred. Some are fourth generation to us. This gives us a distinct advantage because we know each mares history and and can make judgements based on this. We know their strengths and weakness's and can choose the right cross to produce the best foal possible. This has been proven as we are consistently bringing out winning babies.

We are primarily a Quarter Horse stud but we are involved with Appaloosa horses as well. Our stallions are both sires of winning Appaloosa foals. In the past we have achieved success including a NATIONAL GRAND CHAMPION. You will find Appaloosa horses throughout this site. While based on old foundation bloodlines our Appaloosa's today are very much QH type. They are out there today still making their presence felt both in Halter and Performance.
